It has been a long time since we've heard any news from Valve and what was said today will bring attention to this company once again. Valve is a company founded by Gabe Newell which became famous for its marvelous first-person shooter Half-Life which has two sequels so far. That isn't the only famous creation Valve has created though, there are few other series such as Counter-Strike, Left 4 Dead or Portal.
Unfortunately, Gabe Newell hasn't made any statement about long-awaited Half-Life 3, but he revealed some information about their new Hearthstone-like game instead, called Artifact. We don’t know much information yet, but from what has been said, Artifact is going to be a free to play DotA card game with unique aspects and strategy elements based on tradable cards and lower “RNG” factor in general, which plays a huge role in the genre of collectible card games.
Gabe has also stated that Valve is a little bit jealous of how Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Nintendo Corporations has made it throughout these years by designing both the software and the hardware at the same time completely from scratch without using any of their already existing source codes from their other games. Valve really likes this approach and would like to follow Nintendo’s path.
