Sharing is caring, and Steam has some plans on making game gifting much easier and less complicated for its generous users. With the upcoming changes, whenever a gift is sent to you, you won't need to take any actions like logging on your email to redeem a code but you will just receive a direct message that you have been gifted that game.
Additional changes include country price gifting restrictions which mean that you won't be able to gift a game if the price difference is too high from euros to dollars for example. Now you can schedule gifts for specific dates which will be great if you want to never be late on sending a gift to your friends birthday! A great addition to the upcoming changes is that in case the receiver doesn't want to redeem the gift, you can refund the gift and get the money you spent back which means that there won't be any drawback.
